It's a fascinating piece of history right here. It's the start of a very common future, but today is possibly 1 or 2 of a kind. How often do dozens or possibly thousands at a time gather together in online chat rooms with no "moderator" in between. This isn't some bullshit agent or student for publicity. He's a genuine cool dude who is extremely talented and skilled and practiced and is widely known as a result.
None of these people have ever and likely will ever meet Porter but still they're hanging out. I would gander that in 10 years probably 3 enough people will game online and congregate on sites where there are avatars and speakers like this will be hugely popular--if it's not already in Japan and I'm just behind.
When facebook allows you an online walking avatar. It's a frightening unknown horizon--but I think it's going to beautiful. Hopefully it's not a beautiful apocalypse. I have more weed to go smoke. 2015. Legal. :) THE FUTURE IS NOT ALL BLEAK.
